SCSO disAbility Awareness Day

Updated: Sep 23, 2018

Helping Hands, Inc. is proud to be assisting the Stafford County Sheriff's Office with the disAbility Awareness Day, Saturday, September 29th, 2018. This is a community building event that promotes awareness, education, and resources to enable our community as a whole to understand and support those with disabilities.

This year, Helping Hands, Inc. will be providing a Sensory-Friendly Carnival at the event, as well as a "Quiet Room," offering a low-stimuli environment with guided sensory play and social stories!

Due to the sheer volume of useful information, workshops, and demos on this date, we will be sharing a few blog posts about it, and how you can come out and not only support your community but also benefit from this awesome event.

If you would like more information about the disAbility Awareness Day, please be sure to check back on our blog, but also visit the Stafford County Sheriff's Office website here.
