Monique Washington, M.S., CCC-SLP

Ms. Monique earned her Bachelor's Degree from East Carolina University and her Master's Degree from North Carolina Central University in Communication Disorders. Prior to joining Helping Hands, she worked in other private practice pediatric/adult facilities, as well as with the Autism Society of North Carolina.

Her favorite thing to do during treatment is to incorporate all areas of the Helping Hands facility during therapy sessions, implementing a variety of activities such as arts & crafts, floor time, games, and worksheets, etc., to make therapy more engaging and interactive for her clients.

She has experience working with children with Autism, utilizing technological devices where applicable in treatment, and she is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). She is certified in Culturally Responsive Early and Adult Intervention in Assistive Technology Training (CREATT).
