Denise Jasso, OTR/L

Mrs. Denise went to the University of Missouri and earned her degree in Occupational Therapy. Prior to joining the HHI family, she worked in early childhood special education, early intervention and in a sensory integration clinic.

           Mrs. Denise enjoys the personal use of self and rapport building to create challenging therapeutic activities while working with children. She loves to use suspended equipment and doing whole body activities to create child centric treatment sessions. Mrs. Denise also loves to use the Handwriting Without Tears program.

           Denise's passions for being an occupational therapist is in trying to understand the uniqueness of every child and how to create meaningful change in their life.  Her training and knowledge base include the following: Therapeutic Listening, autism, HWT, reflex integration, the DIR Floor time model, Astronaut Training, Brain Gym, the Zones of Regulation, Social Thinking, sensory integration, the OT Immersion Model, and adaptive/general curriculum for special education.
