Ms. Laura attended the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University. Before joining Helping Hands, she worked in both school settings and private clinic settings.
Her favorite thing to do/use in our facility is utilize suspension equipment, heavy work, and obstacle courses. Her passion is working with children, especially her own, and travel.
She is certified in Therapeutic Listening (she is a certified provider), Quick Shifts, Autism, Handwriting Without Tears, Yoga as a Modality, Reflex Integration, Nutrition - ADHD/Autism (she is Certified in Integrated Nutrition for the general population), Floor Time Model, Astronaut Training, Brain Gym, Brain Connections, Crisis Prevention Intervention, Zones of Regulation, Alert Program, Social Thinking, Use of S.I. as a Tool, PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support), OT Immersion, Twice Exceptional, MANDT training, Attachment and Adoption, and she has attended the M.O.R.E. Conference.
